Learning at Latitude 45°

We are a group of students currently studying Associate of Business Administration in Accountancy programs in Community College of City University. Following in the footsteps of our seniors last year, we are going to rise to the Heilongjiang Challenge 2010, which is also the 2nd Heilongjiang Challenge making it even more remarkable and purpose-built. The challenge which starts in December 2009 and ends in February 2010 consists of three main parts: Pre-trip challenges, Field-trip challenges and Post-trip challenges. All those challenges are custom-built to challenge the limits of the participants.

The first challenge of this trip was the place itself, which was Heilongjiang Province, also known as Ice City. The second challenge of the trip was the time period in which the field trip would take place: 4th January 2010 to 9th January 2010. Embarking on the 2nd Heilongjiang Challenge in one of the coldest places on the earth during the coldest month of the year would help us win once-in-a-lifetime experience, in which our limits and capacities would be tested along with learning about ourselves. This challenge was not about success and failure, but for the challengers to come out of their comfort zones and engage in the whole-person development.
